Rear number plate light not working?
« on: 11 December 2009, 20:12:52 »

And yep, i've tried 2 different bulbs in it, so eliminating them. Also checked the fuse, and swapped it with another and that didnt work?

Are there any problem areas when it comes to these that i need to check?

Has it just stopped working, or has it not worked since you got the car?

On my estate I had a number plate light out when I bought it, but it was the bulb which had blown, but on fitting a new bulb I found the connection where the light fitting plugs in was very touchy, until it was screwed in the light didn't come on, and if the screws were tightened a bit too much, it went off again.

To be honest Ken, it might never have worked. Only noticed it the other night when i was changing the front bulbs.
I'll have a look at the light fitting like you say, and see if that cures it.

Cheers  :)
