trip computer drain

hi there
not sure if anybody can help but i have a 1997 omega 3.0 elite and the problem is that the display for the trip computer stays on after the ignition key is removed and is causing a drain on the battery does anybody know wot this might be?

When mine did this I took the clocks out, unplugged the MID and put it all back again.

Never did it again......... ;)

Does the radio stay on as well?

Also can happen if the mute line on the telephone wiring has an issue.

thx for the replys guys my radio has been removed so no radio in at all but has been like this for about a year only playing up now but will look into whether any of the radio cables r touching anything cheers if anybody thinks of anything else feel free to leave a post :P
