Is there anything special to keep in mind? Disconnect battery, how do you open/release the old bulb? Never doen this and today I found that the left light won't light up.

Also, I had field/vision alert but I found that the arm from the sensor to wishbone had fallen off, now put back on. This shoudl cure it?

To remove the HID bulb you need to disconect the battery then depending on which side light your working on its easier to either remove the battery completely or the air intake assembly to make more room. Behind the light there is a black cover with 3 screws which you remove to gain access to the back of the bulb to remove the cable. Then if I remember correctly you need to remove the black plastic collar by twisting which holds the bulb in place. Then simply withdraw the bulb. Be as gentle as possible with the light unit as its very easy to break the plastic adjuster arm on the lens leveling unit as they are made of plastic and get very brittle.

they will definetly brake.. your adjusters. when you will insert the new bulb you will have to push and then you'll hear a pop (.. mine did that

Oh... And personally, I'd remove the headlight unit to change the bulb and whilst it's out, replace all the bulbs in it. I did last week

Have to remove the strips under the lights (which you need to do to get to the 3rd bolt) and just about managed to squeeze them out. Found that by removing the little grills next to the fog lights I could get my hand up and unplug the hose from the headlamp washers and I then turned the base of the washers so they didn't catch.

It is a tight squeeze though

If the adjusters are so brittle and prone to breaking, would heating the headlight up a bit first and getting them warm before applying any pressure to them help?

One of the Chysler forums I am on also have the same problem with broken plastics, and they pop the lights in the oven for a few minutes to warm them up first before attacking the bulbs - I know you guys put them in the oven to remove the lenses, just wondered if it may help by doing it first?

Interesting thought Dave, but I think the type of plastic used simply becomes brittle over time and is incredibly weak due to the design.

The 'only' real solution is to replace them with the aluminium type sold on this site.

Bulb changed without any problems. The small screws are a pain to get to. I removed the battery to gain more access and still the screw below was difficult to reach (you can not see it). Once open, you just twist the connector off and twist the cap holding the bulb. Assembly in reverse order.
