Boot release & key fob fail
« on: 03 February 2011, 20:10:47 »

After an alternator failure & thus a flat battery, not only can I not get my remote key to work on any of the 3 buttons (yes, tried in ignition pressing to re-program), but now my boot release button on the dash don't work either. Really annoying having to reach into the boot for the manual one!

Any ideas on either?

Renew the battery in the remote & check the battery holder is still firmly fixed to the circuit board (handle very gently!). Are you holding the boot release button on the dash for approx 5 seconds? :-/

'Tis a new battery, and the LED lights when pressing, have had the loose battery holder before- got involved with the hot glue gun  ;)

As for the 5 seconds, mine normally works straight away, but I have just tried that anyway with no luck

Cheers for trying  :y
