Problem locating Diss pack
« on: 05 March 2011, 12:37:01 »

Hi fellas (and ladies)
I have a fubared plug cap and need to replace the lead (deteriated due to knackered cam cover gaskets)
I have followed the guide as to replace said packs, scuttle panel came off easy, but next bit ...remove leads from Diss pack....cannot even find the pack. the plug leads from the drivers side disappear down the back of the engine, under some cooling hoses, and for the life of me, I cannot see where they go. :(
I notice in the Guide, some pics, which make the job look easy, and also the plenom is removed. although written guide seems to imply going straight in.
Will removing the plenom reveal all :y Car is as in profile.
Still waiting for the torch battery to recharge before I can go looking again.
Managed to get to Bury St Edmonds and back yesterday by connecting a new plug lead to the old lead by crimping the ends....worked but not ideal ;D ;D ;D

Right.....
1. Wipers off
2. Scuttle off
3. Windscreen wiper motor out (try not to drop the bottom fixing screw).

With the wiper motor and scuttle off the job is doable by mere mortals.  :y
