he is being brave at that sort of money.

ok its had a new engine, but what about the rest of the car?

Mines got similar mileage and i doubt mine would make £1500 and that is with the LPG kit as well.

the kit wouldn't bump the value up by that much

Agree, the kit is worth a lot, however at that mileage major work will be required on many of the major components, outwith the engine, additionally its due a cambelt at 160000...

Oh and by new engine i dont get the feeling it was brand new either

This the car we discussed Markie?  What proof does the seller have thats its a brand new VX engine, rather than a breaker altarnative?  Don't like the colour of the coolant, if it were a VX genuine one....

the very one Bruce  :) and you were right about the mileage, suspecting it to be interstellar, no indication it is brand new engine, but as you say if its IS brand new AND vx fitted, why on earth does it have blue in it  :o :o

The write up specifically says "new engine supplied by vauxhall" so it shouldn't (?) be a scrappy/breaker one ....   should it ?    :)

As quoted on other potential 'good buys', only pay what you can afford to loose....

True.

However, before spending my hard earned, would like to see a copy of the receipt giving engine number, date supplied, as wellas who/where fitted with what warranty....   ;)

The other thing that raises warning bells for me regarding this E-bay deal is the lack of questions/answers on the listing....  I find that really genuine folks tend to list Q & A's to save repeating themselves  - or are simply too dense to realise they are shooting themselves in the foot by doing so....  Those that do nothing, as in this case, I am highly dubious of........
