New Gaming Accessory
« on: 05 March 2008, 09:34:21 »

The chap that sits next to me at work is developing a rather funky Wii add-on, but is it just geeky nonsense or absolute gaming genius?

http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/s/1039320_mindwires_pain_game

I'm sure he'll be interested in your constructive comments as he has invested lots of time and money in to this.

Not for me, but am sure there are plenty of masochists out there who will like it, seems to take 'force feedback' to the next level

Genius! Should be available for all formats though and not just Wii (even though I have a Wii).

not for my, i like the 'virtual' side of gaming, although i am not a big gamer myself.

Hardcore gamers i could see buying this, i am talking about the type of person who spends every waking moment online playing........

i haven't voted as my vote would be 'not for me but has potential'  :y

edit  just re-read the article, it doesn't work on the Wii, but will work with the other consoles

I have barely enough attention span for computer gaming to get my 10p's  worth out of a game of Taito space invaders, but it is an interesting idea and I wish him luck with it.

I am a gamer, a PC gamer and get very annoyed that things like this and games in general always come out for consoles way before they do on PC.
I can see kids buying it but adults probably not.

Just my 2p worth.

Ah but take solace in the fact that all the new gameplay innovations and graphical advancements take place on PC gaming. You saw it/played it here first!! (On a PC, not OOF)  :D

people have their own likes and dislikes where gaming is concerned, some people like strategy games, some like driving games, some like fighting games, and so on, and some hate all of them!!

there will be a huge amount of people out there that would love a gadget like this, i'm certain of it! it adds to the involvement of the game

you would remember the simulation driving games in the arcades where the seat moves when you crash, and you will know the rumble pad joypads that shake when you drive a car into the wall on "need for speed"!

its not something i would buy purely because i know i'm not interested in the specific games it would work with, but i know it would work with these games and there'll be a market for it

i'd like to make an offer.... £75,000, but for a 50% stake in the company ;D
