Auto box fault..please advise
« on: 11 October 2011, 00:11:11 »

I have a 2001 2.2 cd auto and when driving the gearbox goes into neutral, sport or winter mode cannot be selected,I have to manually select 3rd gear then engage drive to regain normal driving. Also I have noticed that sport mode engages itself and I cannot disengage it. Could this be the cam sensor, yes the EML light is on and as yet I haven't had the codes read ????

Possible, but need codes read to confirm (0340 for C/S)

Probably buy a generic reader cheaper than what a diagnostic will cost :)
