Speedometer

Hi, we have a 2000  (W reg) Omega Elite.  The speedometer has stopped working, can anyone give me any pointers as to what to do to may be get it working again?

Does your trip computer still work ie mpg, average speed etc?

just idear try pushing on the display dash when moving see if it works then if dose then plug on back is not sitting right, or may need a clean.
