Just a bit late to the scene on that, I was using it 5 years ago before they went crap!  ;) -

This is the new Spotify:

http://grooveshark.com/

Unlimited plays on tracks unlike Spotify, no adverts either. Browser based so no install needed

:y :y :y Thanx Tunnie for that link!

Grooveshark beats the hell out of Spotify even in its basic form.......
Now to find the music for the 'oldies' (that was when music was music and you could understand the lyrics and not the modern repetitive single line boom boom crap or that godawful crapRAP...
Late 50's, the 60's and 70's and after the very early 80's it all went downhill........FAST. :D

Yes I really like grooveshark, they run surveys if you do a few you get the mobile app for free for a month. I've note yet used iPhone version, I'm told its not a patch on Spotify, but for playing tunes at my PC, or my little gathering tonight. Its perfect.

some of it is user uploaded content, so the quality can vary. But overall i find it much better  :y
