It's Dax's new demonstrator - actually still in development. Previously the Rush used (IIRC) Jag donor parts (e.g. the rear diff).. they're getting harder to get hold of and the Jag diff weighs about as much as a small family hatchback..

The Rush has always used Sierra running gear, AFAIK. Certainly the one I helped build did. The jag stuff is indeed too heavy for a seven by a long way.

I never liked the way they used the full track of the Sierra suspension at the rear. All too easy to forget the car's so wide at the back when it's so narrow at the front.

That does look like a retrograde step. Plenty of very light engines around these days will give as much power as a seven style car can put down (and you can't begin to put anything like the output of an M3 down). Then again, DAX demonstrators never have been remotely sensible.

Yes E46 M3 engine an S54B32 to be precise Bi Vanos equipped as well so 333bhp


it would be running on standalone management?? which means vanos is disabled! if it is then its considerably down on power! i know mega squirt can run vanos it has to be disabled

recently scrapped an E36325 - kept the engine for something I've got in mind. It's quite light - certainly lighter than an Omega V6
