seem to of lost gps signal satnav saying ime miles from where i really am also head unit spits out disc a few times before it will stay in any ideas what to try

Bottom of page 1/top of page 2 are the instructions to get a 2013 into diagnostic mode so it'll tell you how many satellites it can see. By the sound of it your symptoms may match Robs - i.e. it can see the satellites (diag mode will tell you) but won't lock on to them as it can't read the nav CD.

CD could be the laser.  I still have your old one here, could swap the top cd mech over?

Is the GPS in top left going green/amber/red?

have tried audio cd all ok checked diagnostic screen as seen it shows nearly all 0s havent checked aerial connection yet as pain pulling stereo will try at weekend

That connection at back is likely if diags reads 0/0 for satelites.

If it reads 0/8 for eg, RobG had similar, and it was the disk/laser.

will wait till weekend before pulling stereo as to dark n evenings now to work on

Have had stereo out all ok have checked continuity of gps cable to footwell all ok wondered if cid affected gps at all as since i tapped screen cid has stayed working all ok except sat nav gps  thought maybe something loose/unplugged affecting gps as its got me baffled as to why gps not working cant think of any other reason for it can you shed any ideas has it now has me baffled .

any cage distortion causing plug to stereo connection to be poor

taken cage out refitted all plugs directly into stereo still the same gps red test showing 0s
