Time for a rant
It is my car insurance renewal time once again.
Last year I paid £235 to insure the Omega.
In Feb this year, a young lady reversed into the rear of the car and caused a small amount of damage. Not worth a claim. However, she was reluctant to pay up for a very minor bodywork repair (a tennis ball size dent/crease). I then called my insurance company for some advice.
This did not include talking to the legal team and did not involve a claim from them or her insurers. So absolutely no cost to them.
The girl eventually paid up and I had the work done. Sorted, put to bed, in the past.....or so I thought......
This years renewal
£370. Good God
Called the insurance company and they have to take this no fault/no cost incident into account as it is on the national insurance database they say. Without it the renewal would be a bearable £250.
The company in question is Admiral who also seem to own a lot of subsidiaries to suck the life out of us
Do I have to grab the vasaline and take this or is there a way to ease the pain
