Many thanks to all for the well wishes.
Had the op Tuesday afternoon and it was a success by all accounts.
The surgeon intends to start me on a short course of chemo (6 lots), but this is only to eradicate any bits of tumour/growth that may have been left behind that aren't overly visible to the naked eye.
I currently have an epidural in so I can't feel a thing except for a slight bit of tightness across the diaphragm area, and they have been reducing the dose throughout the day and replacing it with 2x 100mg Tramadol's to be taken 4 times a day (they produce a nice sensation as well when you lay back & relax

)
The only thing stopping me from being discharged right now is that there is still a small (30ml or so) bit of weepage from where the drain tube was inserted, however I won't be rushing that after what the doc told me will happen if it is removed too soon.
I have ensured that I have plenty of things to do if I am stuck in here over the weekend (such as creating themes for my Galaxy SII) so there is no danger of me getting bored.
Love & kisses to all, and I'll probably be back next week sometime.
