Thanks for assisitance ,guys  :y

Main reason for my question was I had read the full guide several times and am fully aware of how the job should be done,my concern was the type of sealant required.

Mark refers to the use of Loctite 598,but that doesn,t appears to be available from normal factors so what would be a  suitable alternative  ;)
5910 replaced 598

explains the diff bolt, ive heard of it a few times now :y

It would be handy if someone has a picky of one of these "drilled" bolts so it could be added it to the "how too"   :y

I did it on my Senator but sadly I don`t have any pictures. It`s easy to do though, just remove the bottom bolt from the casing and using a 5 or 6mm drill bit drill on an upwards angle from the bottom of the bolt hole at the front to the top of the bolt hole at the back and drill through the casing. Have a container to catch the diff oil as it comes out but as it`s quite thick it doesn`t come out anywhere near as fast as engine oil.
If you take it for a good long run first then the old oil will come out easier bringing out any remaining swarf with it.
A bit of ptfe tape on the bolt before you put it back in and everything will be fine.
