ECUs - are they identical ?
« on: 11 January 2012, 12:27:13 »

Can I swap'em without upgrading or just after reprogramming? General question only in case of the same types and the same other parameters.

I think you had it right first time. ;)

Are you talking about the engine ECU?

ECU is paired with the immobiliser module and the transponder chip in the key, so you need to swap them too.

Also has config. for the car - auto/manual, etc. depending on the engine.

OP has 1995 car. *Possible* it doesn't have the coded immobiliser ;)

OP - do you have the little black dome by the rear view mirror?
