Ok update : local acc shop has just rang back quoting £90 !!!!!!! for just the pulley

£20 for the belt . Having a laugh aint they $:-\$

No way paying £90 for the pulley , i can get the tensioner and pulley and belt for nearly half what the shop are quoting me for the pulley alone , from ebay and thats with free delivery

. Makes you wonder am i being ripped off ....by local acc shop

Belt for V6 - £19 from Vx on TC

Pulley from Vx on TC - £24 last time I bought one.

Ive checked the pulley and it seems ok , all intact and bearing sound so im just going to replace the belt on its own...Tensioner is working correctly but couldnt find the lube tabs as its still on the car and seems almost impossible to access unless my hands were half the size $:-\$ $:-\$ $:-\$

for the time it takes, undo the 15mm nut in the middle, take the pulley off(only the wheel) pop the red/brown plastic rings out & pack with grease. its realy so easy to do.

Oh i didnt realise there was plastic rings that were removable , but thats on the pulley wheel like you say . Is it possable to lubricate the actual tensioner or is that a sealed unit $:-\$

you shouldnt need to, its a spring loaded jobby. just make sure the pulley is greased.
