What`s the bowden cable like re; slackness, two different lengths for the V6`s

Is that due to the extended plenum in some cases?
Also, does FL need Tech 2 or is that only if DBW?

Your miggy is the same year and model as mine, and i have retro fitted cruise control..  I had to get the C/C activated(via on board computer) with a Tech 2..  so I think a trip to your local VX garage or maybe someone on here that can do it for you..
Shouldn`t need TechII on a 3.0ltr facelift or not

Unfortuatley they do Rob, on the 3.2, 2.6 and the Diesel already have the C/C activated (the DBW) models..  I made the same mistake, and it was someone on here that told me to get the C/C activated.  it also says on the fitting guides in the maintainence section that a Tech 2 is required.
No they don`t
If you`re fitting cruise to a 2.5 or 3.0, irrespective of whether it`s a facelift or not, this is the guide you use & no TechII

Mine came from a 2.5, but how big an issue was the lpg? Were you able to use the correct mounting position?

No,     I had LPG fitted and they fitted some parts there

It is located in gap just below air box screwed to the wheel
Arch - and rotated 90 degrees so cable points
To steering wheel

I was just wondering if the positioning was affecting the 'length' of the cable. The mounting points dictate the correct placement  :-\

I fitted cruise to my 2.0 and had the same problem with the LPG, they had located the ECU for LPG where cruise goes.  Solution moved the LPG bits as the cable run was sufficient and fitted cruise inot its correct location

Is there any way the lpg unit can be dislodged temporarily? To allow the cruise module to be mounted correctly to at least rule that issue out?

Not enough room on LPG pipes ect and would be
Worried about leaks ect

That was why cruise was placed where it is now

That's what I thought. It was just an option so you could decide whether it was a faulty module or more down to the positioning.

Is there anyway to test the actuator apart from driving the car

I am dubious of loosening or moving the lpg parts if I have to then drive the
car too test the cruise control!

Having said that when I fitted mine all seemed to be correct but it would not work, thanks to info on here suspect was indicated as brake switch, I thought I was lucky as i had the correct 4 pin switch factory fitted, anyway changes it and success.  So it could be one of several items
