There are no pads as such in Elite leather,if that's what you have?
The element is placed over the leather and glued in with a pad glued over the top. It's a case of repair by cutting in through the pad, then re solder the wires if it's the element that's failed.
If theres no obvious sign of damage to  the leather by scorching, or all the circuits bell out, then chances are the control unit has filed which is tucked up in the base on the outboard side and can be easily accessed by unclipping the base leather then lifting the foam. This controll unit needs to be replaced to get the seat working again.

Yep, front seats only as they are adjustable for temp settings.

Rears are easier as there is just an on off switch. I don't see any reason for a control box, but then I am hopeless with electrics. ;D

I have a lead here with switch made by Lincs Robert for testing seats out of the car if you need to borrow it? It has the plug to seats and dash switch. Just add battery power and away you go.

Don't worry about the postage, but on the absolute proviso that you guarantee to forward it back to either me,LincsRobert, or who ever else needs it next....?

Pm me your address. :)
