some half engine (3-4 cylinder, 0.8 -1.4  ;D ) diesels avg around 60-70 mpg.. :o

I bet if I have them I'll visit the fuel station once a month ;D
Omega is a big luxury exec, not a small shitbox, thus will never manage that sort of MPG. Nearest Vauxhall is the Insignia, and the 2.0 cdti only manages about 45mpg, and its noticibly smaller...

Well I bought the car.
Drove it 400 miles today from th place where the seller lives to my town.
Of course there are some issues with the car (wishbones are dead, parking brake isnt working and the third problem which is REALLY ANNOYING.
I stoped the car and it woudnt start on the halfway home, of course I went beserk.
Called the seller and he told me to put more diesel in the car
When I put another 30 litres in the car started without much trouble.
Same thing happened just couple of minutes ago, it doesn't want to start.
It seems the car is having dificulty starting when the fuel is around or bellow half the tank.
When there is more fuel it starts without problems  :o :o :o
I'm guessing dirty fuel pump in the reservoire??
Other than these things mentioned it really is in good condition, no rust, seats are good, engine works like a charm (when it starts) and doesnt puff out black smoke at all

Probably the in-tank lift pump is tired - once running, the main injection pump has the power to suck all the way from tank, but during cranking, esp on low fuel, needs the lift pump to help...
