will the screen fit in the same area as it does in the omega, i.e take out the omega screen and fit the vectra screen,

Vectra B fit as it's the same as the omega (but you try and find one) RobG has omega units now and then) :y

The colour screen from the CD70 won't work but they also came with a none colour screen so in that respect you MAY be able to fit the CD70 unit to a none colour screen from the Vectra. Not sure if the wiring would work though or if it would fit in the dash.

Easy answer - NOPE !!

The Omega does not have the CAN signals that are produced by the Vectra for this to work.

There may be scope to get a CD70 working with an Omega CID - that was supposed to be my Winter project - but I don't think you could ever get it to work to the level of the gay, pedantic one...
