Radiator flushing

Im going to clean/soak/flush the radiator . Is it ok to fill the rad up over night with caustic soda or will it damage the rad  :-\

IMHO caustic soda is a tad too strong, I would use "Fernox" as designed for household radiators. I have used it in the past quite successfully..
