Arnold clark surprise
« on: 02 March 2012, 22:39:09 »

Me and my aunt went car hunting on Monday for her. She has been after a clit for a while to replace her Fiat Idea.

We traveled to a couple of dealers first before going to Arnold Clark. When We got there we were greeted very warmly by 'David' the salesman. After asking us all the right questions he showed us around some clits they had. Every question we asked he had the right answer. He got us drinks, Took an interest in both of us and not just my aunt.
After a good 30 minutes chatting and looking around we went for a test drive in one of the clits. By the time she got out of the car she was sold on it. He did a good deal for her £6500 for a 11 plate clit 1.2 3dr with 7k miles and 500 p/x dor a 2001 peugeot 106 with 82k on it.

Was just so refreshing to deal with a proper bloke and not a shark. Collected the car Wednesday. He was ready, car was mint and best of all he filled the tank up as we collected it before the end of the month! very nice surprise.

Needless to say a very nice letter is being sent to the garage with our compliments for the level of service.

Have had dealings with them before and it hadnt a good experience so was very happy with how they treated us.

So there you go! Arnold Clark in Oldbury (M5 Junc 2) for any midlanders after a newer or new car :y

A car sale done by a Human, not a shark or automaton!  :D

There are some genuine sales people out there Dan, that are more interested in a reputation, rather than how far the sales line goes up and off the chart ::)

Glad your Aunty managed to get sorted out with something, not a bad deal by the sounds of it :y

Did you ask him if he'd be interested in a small car valet company you know, to prep their cars before sales by any chance ::)

Don't hear of many dealers like that these days, good on him, good service goes a long way. Good luck selling the Fiat, the idea was always a rare car!

I sold it to her 8 years ago brand new. Little did I know they would only be in production for 3 years.
