no vac pipe = heat to the cabin  :y

but hbv could be fubared, best way to test is to suck where the vac pipe goes on and see if tou can feel the diaphram working. also pull off vac pipe and block the pipe this should allow coolant to flow through to the cabin, do this then feel the matrix pipes as they go through the bulkhead to see if they are both getting hot

Tried everything you suggested but to no joy so went and bought a new HBV and Hey Presto we now have heat  :y :y :y :y

Well done Ken, all's well that ends well.  :y

I'll have the old HBV off you if you've still got it.  Curious to do a 'cut-down' on one.
