I've never had a problem, but I always make sure they see the traders insurance first and be very friendly!!!  ;)

Your lucky then, think it was 2009' POs where told, only to tax vehcles with the correct Reg No and Reg Keeper needs to be same, I have real issues with it, I even print off from my Trade Website, a list of vehcles currently on my Insurance, they nearly allways insist I fill in the new keeper slip, at which point I walk out and hit the next Post Pffice.

How long before traders are whalloped like they are in other EU countries? When you buy a car even to sell on as a trader it has to go into your name. That attracts cost and a tax. The tax can be about 6% of the Government BOOK value. As a rule of thumb all cars are taxed and insured end of. No wonder there isn't a thriving S/H business. Cars stay in the family except for deaths (or they develop a fault- in which case they sell them to me)
