Nice job , you can pick them up cheap as chips now and not a bad bike  ;)  last year i sold my zx12r , love bikes and miss mine bad ...still the mig will do for now as a replacement  ;D

Cheers

They are a great all-rounder bike, cheap to buy, run, tax and insure. £111 for a years insurance! :)

I'd love to run both the bike and mig but 2.6 petrol brings  :'( to my eyes in running costs.

Rob

The way things are going with fuel costs i might have to take the mig off the road and back to 2 wheels again ...mot on the mig soon and if it fails on a lot ill be digging the bike gear out again  ;)

It's a tough world at the moment.

Running costs on the SV=

Tax 12months = £70'odd
MOT               = £30
Insurance       = £111
Total                 £211 for the year and about £17 for a full tank (50-75mpg)

Won't bother listing the migs running costs, it'll only depress me!

Anyway at least you got the 2 wheels as backup , and no getting stuck in traffic jams ...was tempted to get a CBF600 i had on loan once after the sprag clutch had a party in my mille rsv  ::), was very comfy and good on juice but they are still holding good prices right now .

Running cost was an issue, but due to work relocation to SE London I was spending 4-6hrs a day in traffic - NOT ANY MORE! I was nicking borrowing the wifes 2.0dti astra to save on running costs but she needs a car for herself and refuses to drive my 'barge' (in her words!)

Yeah thats more like it , ive had 20 odd bikes and quite a few v twins which i find are a bit rough compared to the inline 4s but its what you get use to . The RSV 1000 mille i had a was the best v twin i owned for comfort/power and handling . Have fun with the SV  :y

One of my current steeds.

The other is a Trumpy sprint st. Lovely bike but bloody heavy especially once it's loaded up with luggage and all the other crap for a week away. Fancies a Trumpy Street Triple R next. I may chuck in the two to get one this summer....... Or I may just get more greedy and have 3 but I'll have to rob a bank first.  :P :P
