deisel leak
« on: 30 March 2012, 08:22:55 »

i filled the tank last night to its max, as i have a long journey this mornng. usually i let it go down to 20litres & stick another £30 in. last night i probably had around 17L & to fill it up it took £80 ( 55L) now i have a massive leak which is from the area of the lift pump. probably stemming from an incorrect refitting. (only myself to blame) the screw on bit which holds the pump in the tank tightened another 1/4 of a turn which i think slowed down the spillage. (i have not checked as yet this morning) i need to set off on my journey no later than 10am so not a lot of time to right things & check the rubber seal. i may have to ignore it & just not put as much fuel in. :-\ apart from this hiccup my old tractor is running well. :)
