Omega Central Locking Issue
« on: 01 April 2012, 21:41:52 »

Hi Guys,

Have a central locking issue if anyone can help be much appreciated

basically when i got to lock it as soon as its switched off and got out, it locks and instantly unlocks but if you push lock again it will lock,

and if you go to lock it say 10 seconds after you get out itll lock straight away (9/10)

Weird?

Sounds like it could be a microswitch failed in the driver's door locking motor (but not the usual one!).

They can be replaced pretty easily if you can solder.

Contrary to what the guide says, though, I'd replace both switches in this case.

It is an excellant guide and I have used it to repair two motors now. If you get stuck getting the switches I have a small supply here.

Replace the micro switches or the motor, your choice
