here goes,
3.0l has been loosing water...somewhere?
checked all the usual.
on start up its very lumpy with a big missfire. cures after a few seconds.
this morning on startup,....crank, crank, then almost as if it was constipated & stopped turning......
tried again, fired up with missfire....
i tend to get the idea whats wrong, but thought i would throw it open to you.

Is it a 98 3.0 Jon

I'm not saying its head gasket for sure yet but with it missing for a few seconds and the fact it sounds like its turning over slowly and stops, could be water in a bore

its a 99 3.0l pete. it went big time this morning, like a bloomin steam engine mate. coolant out the exhaust. 
big job ahead me thinks, would happen when my garage is full of a half stripped elite estate.

isnt it just. only the interior,engine & box to take out now so can shift it soon.

Sorry to hear it however this might be a blessing in disguise.With all this steam now might be an ideal time to open that Dry cleaning business you've always promised yourself.

wouldnt mind but just filled the gastank up, need to use the non lpg mv6 now.....expensive running now.

took her out this morning, usual miss fire on startup. had a good run round, back home, could smell antifreeze when wifey opened pass door, exhaust gas blew in. was steaming like a good un tbh.
right peed off tbh.
