V6 ecu's and MAFs

Just a quick question. Is there any difference between the 2.5 and 3.0ltr ecu's where fueling and timing are concerned? Similarly are there any differences in MAFs?

Iirc, the fueling on the 3ltr ecu is a little higher at the top end of the rev range  :y

Put it this way, I ran a 3ltr engine with a 2.5 ecu for about a year.
Engine ran ok with no problems but when I got round to fitting the 3ltr ecu, the car was definetly a little quicker  :y

I believe the MAF's are the same.
Timing is optimised by the crank / cam sensors so no differance there.

That was just the answer i was looking for!! Fuelling at the top end is what i'm looking for. I've done the porting on the throttle body, plenum and V body but seems to be struggling a little top end of the rev range when at full throttle. I'm thinking the air may be overstretching the parameters of the ECU now.

I would have thought quiet a lot different between the ECU's, 3.0 has more aggresive cams and with the extra cc's more torque at the top range.

In theory, by gas flowing and allowing a bit more air in, I would have thought the ECU to learn the changes and adjust to suit, did you make the throttle bodies wider or just gas flow them?

Ive opened the plenum out to 44mm on each of the 6 ports, the V bridge has also been opened out to the same (original is 38mm x 40mm) and the throttle body has been flowed by removing the step behind the butterfly, spindle reworked to narrow it and increase the initial airflow into the plenum. The V bridge work has also been spiralled to create a vortex effect which assists with drawing the air into the cylinders as turbulent air works more efficiently. My next planned mods are 2.6/3.2 exhaust manifolds 3ltr cams and chip to further increase the bhp. I'll be having it dyno'd with the current mods and then again after the cams manifolds and chip are added. Last dyno produced 185.9bhp with panel filter, magnecor leads, 200 cell sports cats and 2 1/2" stainless exhaust system designed differently to the original system to further reduce back pressure. Only other mod i've done since then is fit a 4 bar regulator.
