AUTO GEARBOX PROB
« on: 17 April 2012, 21:55:57 »

Me Again  ;D ;D ,
Car drives and changes gears fine, until I stop and put in Neutral or Park, then it 'Clunks' in and out of both park and Neutral only happens when car has reached temp. It doesn't get hotter than 95, cant' be doing gearbox any good, they want £30 to check oil level, if oil is fine what else could it be? (New Box  :'( ?).
Thanks Again - Keeping you all busy tonight  :)

Thanks for input. I have't got facilities to put car up, only got front wheel ramps, was under the impression it has to be level to be checked. Don't fancy lying underneath with axle stands!! :-\ and only ramps at front. Would the lack of oil (if this is the case) make it clunk in and out of park and neutral? Drives fine going thro gears, no hanging.

fair enough mate. you only jack it up/on axel stands to remove plug and fill with top up fluid. then let it down so its level and then drain the remainder out and when done it's full :) check out the guide for info....
