Looking at the state of our exchange, they need to invest in some felt for the roof before they make the broadband any faster.  :o

Does it make a sound simillar to this when you are standing outside???

That's a sound you only ever heard in really small, rural exchanges. More than 2 or 3 hundred lines, it just became a din ;D

A problem a lot of people suffer from is this 'Fair Usage Policy'.
Ie do Flight Sim over the network and was with Tiscali until they cut me off from P2P servers from 6pm to 1130pm. When I complained and asked for a migrate code I got it within 5 mins.
A bit later, Tiscali announced that all p2p users could have a migrate code, no matter where in their contract they were, with no penalty. They do not like gamers >:(

No, they don't like filesharers or nntp users. They make a huge loss on them (several hundred pounds per user, per month). Also causes them extra costs if its illegal filesharing.

Their options are to heavily shape, or ban. Or have a set monthly usage.

Sadly, some games are using similar technologies, and flag the same way
