2.5td lift pump - rewire
« on: 19 April 2012, 19:07:02 »

HI
Got a code 34 fault with full throttle hesitation and dieing.
Have already changed fuel filter.
Will check timing sensor on injector 4 next is reading 100ohms.
After this i am going try wiring the lift pump to be on constantly with the ignition.
So:
1) will this kill the pump in quick order?
2) which of the 2 pipes is fuel out and which is fuel back in to the tank?
thanks
Jon

If memory serves, you only need the pump when you are down to 20 odd litres. If your tank is say, half full, and it still dying or it hesitates, then you need to look elsewhere.

Your fuel gauge may not be reading perfect, so it's well worth filling up & see if it makes a difference.  ::)
