Just been refunded in full by seller includes postage costs!!
Obviously at the request of Ebay
Now what do I do with the duff camera?

So think I should once more try and make contact with him

A couple of times, where I have had similar issues on Ebay, I have either been asked by seller to dispose of faulty goods, and in the case of incorrect items being supplied, have been told to keep the incorrect parts as goodwill gesture by seller as well as the subsequently supplied correct item.

But is that not just a personal rule of it confidential? Not saying I would pass anyones detail out at will, but if it is the case of same member ripping people off, perhaps we need a warning about his ebayID in the for sale section?

We have banned him, but if he is stating he is still a member here to try and add credibility to his adverts/sales, puts a negative image of OOF. 

I think you are making an early assumption here Tunnie, you could well be barking up the wrong tree, you have no evidence to suggest it is that particular ex member......

I found it odd that the seller did not give their name on OOF, would that not make sense? Drop me a PM on OOF if you have issues, my username is bla....

Not often people get ripped off on OOF, lack of postage was something a particular member was fond of
