So the Yanks foiled an attack by a sophisticated underpants bomber.

I think it is very telling that they haven't released details or photos of the device.

Are we to assume it couldn't be detected even by body scanners? If so how long before we all have to strip off and have our clothes vetted before flying?

I still think it was a smoke screen before the real thing tunnel, train, stadium. Doesn't take a genius to realise they are far easier targets.

The thing with aeroplanes is that a very small device exploded on board can bring one down very easily.Trains/tunnels/stadiums take a much bigger device to cause any serious damage to.
Maybe the civilised world should put the Southern Arabian peninsula and other areas/countries on notice that the first time one of the nutters from there succeeds in their mission,the area/country concerned will be nuked out of existence ?
Might concentrate a few minds ? Im sick and tired of the whole western way of life being seriously disrupted and undermined by these uncivilised savages. Time to stop farting around.Scorched earth policy for troublespots.break em.
