front crankshaft oil seal
« on: 17 June 2012, 23:20:36 »

Evening people
had a quote from the stealers to replace the above on my 1998 25 v6, guess how much ... £465 not including the cambelt!!!   i don.t think they wanted to do it, tryed some other local garages through word of mouth but they will not touch the car, again it must be to involved for them ....  total  d... heads, ok the belt has to come of and a large pole to undo the crank bolt but some garages in my area don't need the work by the look of things and yes i've taken the breather system apart and cleaned through, just that the seal is leaking and making a mess on the drive,  looks like im going to get time from work to do myself.
