Self service
« on: 21 June 2012, 20:06:32 »

Hi all, have some time off work at the minute so I plan to give my omega a bit of a service. Its got 50,000 on it last service was at 44,000 and it had cambelt kit done at 38,000. I plan to clean crankcase breather, change oil and all filters and do a coolant flush. Also gonna have a look at the coil packs and plugs. Is there anything else I should be looking at? Hope to get this done over w'end just waiting on the seal and o rings needed for the crankcase.

yes. Brake fluid. Pas fluid. Aux belt inspection. Transmission fluid change if your past seventy thousand miles. Wheel nut torque. Tyres pressures and tread check. scuttle clean. Brake pad and disc inspection. Get special fuel filter pliers too as they are a bitch with them so youll struggle without them. Hth

should take more notice. Transmission fluid wont need changing as your only on fifty thousand miles but a level check would suffice instead :-)
