New Addition To The Home.
« on: 28 June 2012, 14:08:43 »

Her name's Nakita (I call her Kita for short). She's a Japanese Akita. We got her yesterday from a local rescue. She's settled in very well, she gets on well with Muttley (my Rottweiler) :)
She's nearly knows all the commands so we have a good base to work from. She's very loving & very good natured. They said she's around two years of age.
No dought Maria will be along soon to tell you that she belongs to her, but Kita's really taken to me ;D ;D

She's shedding big time & Maria cleaned up this morning, but now you can hardly tell ;D

Nothing fazes her. It's been thundering really loud this morn, Muttley comes in for a cuddle, because she doesn't like the noise, but Kita's not bothered at all 8) So far, very laid back about everything :y :y

Looking at your's Rob. Kita's head is more thinner & her nose is more pointed. We've been looking at loads of other pics. We think she may have some German Shepherd in her, but we're :-\ :-\

Not sure, we haven't measured her. She's quite tall & slender, but she'll muscle up as she gets older (plenty of long walks with Muttley & me) She looks short in the pic, I guess it's the way she's lying.

Height of a bitch (pure Akita) should be between 23-26" max to the shoulder
