Dears,,,
I had a problem with my Omega B 2.0lit, 1996, Manual transmission...
I changed the friction plate with new one (the old one is wasted) with new clutch thrust bearing and I kept the Pressure plate... but I faced a problem that there is a very bad vibration after I drive my car for about 15 min and this vibration appear when I want to start drive after each stop ( when I start lift my leg from the pedal)  ... this vibration shakes everything from the half of my car to the back end, after the car start move and I lift my leg completely from the pedal... everything go normal.
everybody advised me to change the pressure plate and that's what I did yesterday but the result is the same...
what I noticed is there is a simple movement between the flywheel body and the center of it (about 5 degree clockwise-anticlockwise) but somebody told me this is normal...
I need your advice please and why this vibration Not appear when my car still cold in the beginning of each trip?!!!

Sounds like possibly the DMF

Would a '96 2.0 petrol (too early for a diesel) have a dual mass fly wheel?

Maybe the cause is misaligned clutch plate?

The friction plate has no springs (just a flat plate body) and the flywheel is DMF

mine did this for a few driving trips until it settled down think it was down to not changing the clutch until it was gone but after 100miles or so it stopped and only comes back when going through a ford or a lot of water.

How it could be misaligned clutch plate?!!! the friction and the pressure plates are new and everything assembled now...
so;
1- Is it possible that the friction plate is bad quality and this may cause this vibration after being warm?
2- If there is any defect in the DMF, can this affect just when it warm or even in cold state?
3- any other possible causes?

We had a 3 series do this a while back it turned out to be a faulty clutch it was actually bent only 1/5 of the clutch actually touched the flywheel i exchanged it for another it was fine i don't know if its similar but all things related i suppose, hope you find the problem :y

I had 2 Ford Scorpios (Granada in Uk), which like the Omega is RWD. These symptoms were caused by a rubber damper / boot of some description on the propshaft which had disappeared. On the second occasion it happened it was easy to find out, as it broke off at 160kmh, thus causing one almightly bang under the car. The car drove fine, but when the engine was warm, and you let the clutch out in first, as the drive was taken up there was an horrific judder.

The Omega gurus will have to advise as to whether this could be a possibility. If so, hell of a coincidence.

had the same on my old Granada, but it turn'd out to be the balance weight in side the propshaft had come lose first thing in morning was fine got to end of the road it started. replaced it and it stopped, could hear it moving inside the shaft. felt like driving down a bumpy road all the time.

Dears please,
I changed the friction disk with new good one and the problem disappear for the first week after that but it comes back like I did nothing... the vibration is very strong JUST when start driving (when my foot still on the clutch pedal)... after that and in any speed there are no any problem...
I checked the DMF and it's very good, the pressure plate and the thrust bearing are replaced with new one.. I don't know where is the problem!!!
