Of course, the downside of this is that, after Flash inevitably dies a death, disabling unwanted bloat, adverts and gay "intros" from web content won't be as simple as just installing flashblock (or, better still, not installing flash in the first place).  :-\

HTML5 is meant to be getting better speed wise as a flash replacement, but how fast it is compared to flash is browser implementation dependent.

Pretty sure adobe told devs about a year ago that flash on all platforms was being stopped?
