Broken Rear Spring
« on: 29 August 2012, 18:44:12 »

I am getting my year 2000 MFL v6  2.5 L Omega Saloon ready for its MOT . The rear suspension spring is broken. I also have a 1999 saloon which is pre facelift, also a v6 2.5 which I am breaking for spares....so i took the same spring out of this version of the car to replace mine...but they are not the exactly the same . Having looked at pattern new ones they list the same spring for cars from 94 - 04 indicating the springs are suitable for pre and mini facelift cars...so my question is...can I use the spring I have removed from the car I am breaking without any handling/geometry problems.  Paul

As long as neither are Elite or LSC, should be OK.

Change both at the same time, never, ever, ever just change a single spring.
