I'm new to Winter Tyres, I assume pressure should be same as summer tyres? Around 32 PSi, on 225/55/R16's?

Not going through much snow, 99% motorway down to Austria...

2 up, plus fairly full boot. None of the gear is mega heavy for car. So think 32 or 34 should be enough then

Don't forget, you'll potentially be cruising from Calais all the way to Austria, and the limits are legally higher than here, so I suspect that even you will be travelling more quickly than you might here.

Long motorway cruises put alot of heat into tyres

Just to add, don't forget that the weight of the lpg tank and gas comes off the load capacity of the car

Wouldn't ambient temp come into it? If above 7 degrrees, I'd be tempted to keep the pressure sensibly high, to keep a winter tyre cool in summer tyre temp range.

Interesting question I suppose. Does the tyre makers web site help?

Manual lists the same pressures for all sizes including an M+S option (195/65R15 on all models).. pressures listed vary by engine .. so I guess 2.5bar (36.75psi) front, 2.9bar (42.6psi) rear for Tunnie in the 2.2, fully loaded, or 2.1bar (31psi) all round unloaded.

Only 2 now?

Yes, mate had to drop out due to work reasons. Panned out ok, as last week he had his appendix out. So he could not have come anyway!

Stuck them at 34 Psi, they feel fine for normal driving. Once loaded up see how it goes, can always adjust them at Dover

Wouldn't go below 34 font, 36 rears.  Risk of overheating tyres if pressures too low on long high speed run due to excessive sidewall flexing.
