don't really understand the question, but yes.

It depends what protocol its running.

"wifi" is a very generic name.

The letter at the end defines the speed of the connect, G is 54mbit a sec.

B is 11 i think

wifi is like saying "cars"

there are many differnt types of cars, people carries, sports cars, ect...

The IEEE 802.11g standard superseded 11b and is backwards compatible with that standard.

At least, that's what Wikipedia says.  I only believe Wikipedia when it agrees with what I thought in ther first place.
