Cloth upholstery cleaner
« on: 08 November 2012, 20:41:34 »

Hi all
need some advice on a good cloth upholstery cleaner . Bit out of touch as last 4 cars have all had leather .

This is for a 2001 MV6.   Anyone used a product on cloth they would highly recommend .

Not worried about having to wet the seats if needed.

I remember using a car related upholstery cleaner years ago on a set of Carlton estae seats that were really filthy  and dog smelling. Came up like new  . .  .but cannot remember what it was I used . :-\ :-\

Any advice would be good  . . . regards, Al :y

I hired a rug doctor with the upholstery attachment to do a Signum that was proper minging, It was unbelievable the amount of shite that came out of the seats/carpets but it was basically like brand new when finished.

Well reccomended for house carpets too!!

I have used our Vax (upholstery attachment) with some clothes washing liquid (Fairy, Persil, etc.) on loads of cars now - best in the summer because the car dries in a day. This gives fantastic results - the seats usually come up like new and any smells (sick, dog, etc.) are totally removed. First time the water that comes out looks pretty grim.
