Sky - Undelete
« on: 20 November 2012, 18:13:29 »

Accidently deleted a program on my hard drive last night.  IIRC Jonathan Ross was advertising sky and mentioned the undelete feature, is it availble on all recorders?  Mine has just had the latest Program Guide upgrade as far as I know, but the machine is an Amstrad 3 year old unit HD unit

Only Sky+ HD as far as I know. Go to your planner and down to 'all', go left and deleted progs will be there. Press select to put them back into your planner.

not quite sure how long that undelete option will stay, as it will be over-written eventually.

Virgin have been shouting about it, to big up their "new" TiVo platform. Its one of the "new" features, along with searching for shows with particular actors and things.

Our latest HD EPG roll out is still taking place, guess the business is waiting before its rolled out.

Suspect big promo is due, as new EPG has other features like Syncing with iPhone/iPad. Also remote control via iOS, with gesters & such.

TiVo is old as the hills. Loooong before sky+ existed.

Yup, but Virgin like to make people think its new  ::)

Having used TiVo regually, its still not a patch on SkyHD guide.

The older Virgin "Liberate" platform (black background) is just so shite, its sooooo slow and clunky.
