I think taking the gamble on your wedding day would be a mistake...why bother with the hassle?
Quite understandably any police officer would pull over a vehicle with no VRN plates.
Why not get some vanity plates and affix them at the location if they don't want the original VRN on display?

Why not just leave them where they should be, get some nice wide black tape and just tape over them while the photos are being taken.

Seems sensible to me. :y You certainly won't get away with them in the windows if stopped. That would really get his wedding day off to a good start. ::)

I thought it was only front windows that were an issue and not the rear ones.  Front doors and screen from what I can see are ok, the rears  are xxx rated in case they cant wait to start the honey moon.  ::)

Oh Dear, I hope he takes that in the good spirit that it was intended.  :-[ :-[

As said, is it possible to clip some vanity plates on for the church photo's, then remove them for the journey and put them back on as they enter the venue drive/car park for the reception arrival photo's?   :-\

Actually, by law trade plates only cover what is contained in them so should definitely be at the extremities... Number plates are slightly different but I wouldn't risk it

I remember many, and I mean many years ago driving new cars on trade plates, in Darlington following a Police car the passenger kept looking back at me, no number plates, trade plate lying flat on the dash, eventually I realised what he was looking for, lifted up the trade plate, got a thumbs up and off he went, think I was about 19 at the time.... :y :y

You've found me out  ;D ;)

In all seriousness I'll just tell him to leave the plates on, there's no point in risking it to be honest.
