key fobs
« on: 19 December 2012, 17:28:15 »

is there anything else that can stop a two button fob from working other than battery the circuit board or a generally worn fob . last week key & also spare stopped operating on the buttons. locked manually for a couple of days. they then started working again. today after the initial opening with fob, drove a short distance & fob would not lock doors but would open them. this evening fobs working again. :-\  key in ignition at pos2 made no difference.

Does your fob have a red light that comes on when you press the buttons? It should help to identify if the fault is with the fob (intermittent loose battery) or with the car...

Sounds like dodgy contacts to me .. Martin Imber is your man ... he does a brilliant job of repairing them, and a very fast turn around as well.

He used to be a regular here .. not been around for a while but I understand he still does fobs
