Just a nod was acknowledgement enough...
« on: 09 February 2013, 14:22:03 »

This morning I was driving into town in my Omega Estate, I came to a halt as the traffic was backing up at the the lights when coming in the other direction was a guy in another estate.

He had to slow down as traffic was backing up in front of him too, we both came to rest opposite each other, face to face we nodded to each other, looked each other's motors up and down, then the traffic was on the move so we drove away.

It was great, I didn't know this guy from Adam, but it was a nice little acknowlegement and a showing of mutual respect for these cars. I've never had that from any of the other cars I've owned (with the exception of my first car-a Mini) and I've no doubt that if we'd stop anywhere (fuel top up, newsagents etc...) we'd have had a chat about our motors.

Maybe because there's not too many of these cars on the roads anymore, or we're a selective few who still drive them, either way it seems us Omega drivers have got to stick together  :y

Anyone else experienced this?

Oh I've had plenty of two fingered waves in my time, sometimes even just the one finger, but this was different, this was special  ;D ;D

TR owners always acknowledge another TR owner ;)
Never had it with the Omega, but did have another XJ driver wave at me the other day.
