Excellent result for my local league 2 team Southend United tonight .

A 1-0 win away at league 1  Leyton Orient in the southern  area final 1st leg 

Just 90 minutes away now from a  3rd Wembley appearance in this competition  .

I know it's only a "muppet" cup but a Wembley final is a Wembley final 

If we can get there it looks like we'll be playing Crewe who won 3-0 away in the northern section 1st leg  at Coventry

al do you go often to see the blues?

I used to when it was standing in the north bank and the away fans were uncovered in the south bank

We have left ourselfs a massive task, but in football funnier things do happen  and the most  unlikely results will sometimes come out of the woodwork.. lets hope its our turn for a little luck but cant see it to be honest.

im not that old

no it was in the very early 90s when andy ansah, Brett angel, stan collymore, Ricky otto to name a few then we swoped ends so to speak and they added a tier onto the south bank.

but don't see them now only when they play Plymouth, Exeter and Torquay
