Can't get comfortable in my mothers. Gave me a bad back on a 50 mile trip. Best is the diesel as petrol a bit juicy for a big car. Mirrors need to be bigger, loads of blind spots.

I've owned one for the last three years, Bill. I've driven a couple of hundred miles with no discomfort, I get about 40-45 mpg on a run, 30-33 around town and I have no trouble with the mirrors.

You must be blind and a funny shape. ;D

I have cancelled my test drive for tomorrow. I looked at my current zafira this morning, after taking the dog out, and I realised, despite my best intentions, the new one would be in a similar condition after a few months. No point really.

Just hook them up to the back, get in and drive.  ;D

Unfortunately this actually happened to a family in St Agnes Cornwall many years ago. The wife used to go to church every Sunday and the husband separately walked the dog. One Sunday he walked down to the church and tied the dog to the bumper of wife's car and they missed each other. She drove all the way home with dog attached.

Maybe because it wasn't more than a mile  and narrow lanes as well the dog actually survived but the pads on its paws were severaly scarred.

there was one about four  years ago and the dog died... think it was a bigish dog...at one point mr plod was talking about charging the driver with animal cruelty when in essence it was just a tragic accident :(
